The USA from 1670-2010 has had 1049 unprovoked attacks with 43 fatalities. This is the world link. http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/fish/sharks/statistics/GAttack/World.htm

From 1580-2010 2320 unprovoked attacks with 447 fatalities. These were last updated January 2011.
